An Edible Jabot Honoring RBG

September 26, 2020 • Nancy Wolfson-Moche

Sometimes her neckwear sent a message. To convey her disapproval of newly-appointed Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh RBG wore a spiky gold bib. To Obama’s first address to a joint session of congress, she donned a white lace necklace that signaled open flexibility.

Here, I’ve crafted a rhythmic progression of fresh-picked Tokyo bekana leaves strewn with feverfew flowers. Bekana is a fast-growing, fibrous hardy Asian green that reflects RBG’s persistence. Its leaves have veins forging intricate pathways, the way RBG’s mind worked as she explored each issue from every possible angle.

The feverfew flowers are medicinal and anti-inflammatory. RBG notoriously said, “Don’t be distracted by emotions like anger, envy, resentment ….[that] just zap energy and waste time.”

Eat this raw, sprinkled with fresh citrus juice: orange, lemon or lime.

RIP, RBG.

Icing on the Cake: Testimonials

My daughter had her 10th birthday celebration with Nancy over zoom (due to Covid 19). They cooked a delicious meal for 8 people, which all adults and kids enjoyed. Nancy is fabulous in making cooking fun, nourishing, educational, and spiritual. My daughter also did a few cooking workshops with her in the past and loved them. She keeps asking for more. I highly recommend Nancy's cooking classes and party workshops.
